The Renault Clio Renaultsport Raider is a special limited edition of the standard Clio Renaultsport and only fifty examples will be produced, however you can chose to have yours in any colour as long as it is either grey or red. If you are looking for a Clio that is quite unlike any other Clio you are likely to see on the road, then this is the one to go for. It certainly looks the business with its rear spoiler, its front spoiler designed to emulate that of a F1 race car, and its eighteen inch ‘Interlagos’ alloy wheels and low profile Bridgestone tyres.

There are also some interior differences. The seats are leather trimmed and the centre console has been restyled as has the dash; the instruments have white bezels. Generally the interior is at a higher quality level. The chassis is lower than the standard Clio Renaultsport (by 15 mm) and the suspension is even stiffer; the wheelbase has been increased by 10mm. The steering has also been modified and the steering ratio is noticeably faster.

You will need to pay somewhat more for this model. At launch in November 2011 the price was £21,695 and the road tax band is J which means you will have to find an extra £445 Road Tax to put it on the road. The engine is the same 2.0 litre petrol unit as in the standard Clio Renaultsport which means that you will have 200 bhp to play with once you exceed 7.000 rpm. The top speed is 141 mph and the 0 to 62 mph dash will last for just 6.9 seconds.

A Renaultsport Monitor is available at no additional cost. This provides the driver with extensive sensor data from various parts of the car. There is a steering wheel button that enabled the data to be scrolled through. Data includes comprehensive information on engine performance, torque and power outputs, g-forces acting on the car, lap times and more. Alternatively buyers can choose a Carminat TomTom Live satellite navigation system which fits in the same slot.
